UNIË‑QODË {unicode} : UNICODE.ORG FEEDBACK REQUEST WIDEA

 2015‑11‑29

Hi,

I would like that you add a hyphen point but a non-breaking one…

They are already lot middle point / hyphen point, but no one is non-breaking, please add it or change the value of U+2E31 or U+2027 to be non-breaking, add this new character in General Punctuation or in Supplemental Punctuation … I truly need it for my vorks and vritings. Tʰank.

• U+2027 ‧ HYPHENATION POINT (HTML ‧)

• U+00B7 · MIDDLE DOT (HTML · · ·)

• U+2E31 ⸱ WORD SEPARATOR MIDDLE DOT (HTML ⸱)

• U+2E33 ⸳ RAISED DOT (HTML ⸳)

Hi, I’m Gazmênd Arifi, I vrite and I making a web site comparing languages, terms variant, and I’m using some terms with special character but they don’t have CAPITAL and it is problematic because I use “text-transform: uppercase;” and result is not pretty…

So, I would like that you add a capital for these character… I truly need it for my vorks and vritings. Tʰank.

  • Latin E + macron + circumflex (long HÊTA)

  • Capital “ɕ” (U+0255) (Albanian used it in Q [c, ɕ, tɕ])

  • Capital “ɟ” (U+025F) (Albanian used it in GJ [ɟ] I need it because GJ could be [gj])

  • Capital “ɫ” (U+026B)

  • Capital “ɾ” (U+027E) (Albanian used it in R [ɾ])

  • Capital “ʍ” (U+028D)

  • Capital “ʂ” (U+0282)

  • Capital “ʐ” (U+0290)

  • Capital “ϳ” (U+03F2) {Greek}

  • Capital “ϲ” (U+03F3) {Greek}

In fact you should add all I.P.A in CAPITAL,
because, I plan to create a UNIVERSAL
“CLARIFI” KEYBOARD & LANGUAGE,
using
→⊕⊕⊕⊕PUNATHIGË (←⊖⊖⊖⊖phonetic / ←⊖⊖ΦΟΊΝΙΞ / פיניקי / فينيقي ⇒ →⊖⊖PIUNIQSË)…

Tʰang 帑 كتأنجى you.
Good day.

I’m Gazmêndi Arifi אריפי Êvrôpha אירופה,

that I can’t actu‑al‑ly find in Cyrillic‑Uni‑code Range…

I need these al‑ter‑nate :

– Д with Greek Δ shape (same form of the one used in Greek Uni‑code secti‑on of a font)

– З with Greek Ζ shape (same form of the one used in Greek Uni‑code secti‑on of a font)

– Л with Greek Λ shape (same form of the one used in Greek Uni‑code secti‑on of a font)

– С with Greek Σ shape (same form of the one used in Greek Uni‑code secti‑on of a font)

It is vêry im‑porth‑anth,

I know that some fonts use al‑ready these forms as unique character,

but having the two shape directly in Unicode an so in fonts,

would be use‑full pro the vruthë‑duksë and me (UN)…

Thanq us & you very much…

Good day…

Such combinations are not added when they can already be represented by sequences of codepoints. You need font support for the specific combinations or ligatures you are trying to display.

Please read:

http://www.unicode.org/versions/Unicode8.0.0/ch12.pdf#G12284

for details of Devanagari and other related script encoding.

  1. The International Phonetic Alphabet is lowercase-only because it brings no actual benefits to add uppercase letters. The IPA is meant to represent sounds, and the upper-lowercase distinction is only a typographical detail irrelevant to sounds.

    • Hi,

Thanq you a lot pro your use‑less com‑menth,
but if you were a little bit a‑vare, you will know that lot of IPA are al‑ready in CAPIT‑AL,
only some are miss‑ing, the one that I need in my Geg language (ΜΕΓΑ ΓΙΓΑ ΓΕΓΕΙΟΣ), that I plan to im‑prôwë,
      PINTEREST UNI‑CODE CAPIT‑AL PIC‑TUNE

I don’t vanth to use these kind of com‑bina‑ti‑ôn :
      – ZHAN ⇒ ƷAN ژ ou ZʰAN
      – GHAN ⇒ ƔAN غ ou GʰAN घ
      – KHAN ⇒ XAN خ ou KʰAN ख
      – PHAN ⇒ FAN फ़ ou PʰAN फ
      – SHAN ⇒ ƩAN ش ou SʰAN
      – THAN ⇒ ΘAN ث ou TʰAN थ
      – CHAN ⇒ TƩAN ou CʰAN छ
      – RHAN ⇒ RAN ou RʰAN ढ़
      – DHAN ⇒ ÐAN ذ ou DʰAN ध Because “HAN” 憨 हान & ههان هانن is very bad in my language, so I will use IPA !!!
